RE:bass scent?
why would bass be attracted to the smell of crawfish, trout, sunfish, poo, ducklings, snakes, frogs, bugs, minnows, etc, but 'know' that the human smell is not only not edible, but dangerous? There are some fish that like the human scent. And they will eat humans. I did a lot of diving in Fl Lks th...

RE:bass scent?
Wouldn't the pattern of the fish determine how effective scent is? Gotta think like the fish. If they're aggressive, scent may not matter much as presentation will induce a quick strike. But I would think that if they're not very hungry, like when we're not hungry, scent/taste will matter a lot mor...

If I were tring to cast to the only nail sticking up on a dock I could never hit it. But when not tring ,every time it seams like!#-o In the past few weeks the jig I'm useing is the last one I have, Thats why I don't cut the line. I will lay the rod down and make casts with other lures before I move...

Jay fish this Lk as you would any other. From the launch head to the right all the way fishing the docks. Watch out for rocks around the island.

Just would like to know how many of you guys ease up on a dock that you know fish are under and your first cast (!*@%$*) Your hung up on the dock. You ease over to unhang your lure and there it is a Lunker pushing 9+. So you watch the fish swim off! I ask this because it happens to me a lot more tha...

Don't get caught up in marketing. If your fishing for cat fish you would have better luck with scent.

RE:time of day?
Well, lately, to me, it seems that there is a magical hour that is between, about 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Many days I have been out there with out a bite until then, then I hook 2 or 3 or 4 fish just like that, then nothing. There is probably no merit in this other than to me, but to me, I count do...

RE:bass scent?
Just the other day I thought about a post that came up a few years back about scent. I have used it and don't see a difference from one jig with scent or a new jig out of the package. As far as keeping the bait in there mouths longer no difference. I smoke as you guys can see in the pic's. The fish ...

I fish the morn only to beat the wind. I don't think the fish have a dinner time it all seams to work with the moon and tides. I do catch more fish when the tide is high.

RE:Fishing Heavy Weeds
Bass are in the weeds to feed. A 3/4 oz jig is a good start,it will get down to where the fish are and makes a nice little cloud as it is bounced off the bottom. When jigs are used try a high bounce to keep the weeds free of your lure. Heavy line is a must. I like the 50 pound braid ( power pro) lin...
