Leader Lake, during the full-moon, around June, has about the best/biggest bluegill fishing I've seen.

Getting back to the questions in the OP:
But what about MARCH? No real perch action mentioned looking at all the March reports, so what's the deal? How does it compare to January/February (great fishing then)? Most importantly: what areas and depths!?

When looking at the data regarding water temps, be sure to check the scale so you know how much of a change you have. Sometimes it will appear as though there is a solid thermocline, but in reality it is just showing a slight change in temperature. 0.3 degrees isn't going to cause the fish to move ...

August through October in shallower water, and even November through January/February (they are concentrated, DEEP!), can be great for Lake Washington perch. A guy at Lake Washington ramp told me yesterday "this lake has some huge crappie in it" - I wasn't even talking about crappie, and he brought it up. I think Lake Union has big crappie at times too. I don't bother until May, however, for crappie.

If you can get away for a few days then Potholes has some "monster-sized" bluegill (+ bass, perch, etc.!) When you locate the hard-to-locate schools in September it can be a fish per cast. Swofford Pond might be better for numbers of bluegill, however. Kids like numbers of fish.

Too many OTHER species to catch in the winter for me to bother with tasty walleye. Fall is awesome, however. Tasty little buggers.
