Re: Clear Lake near White Pass
I have fished Clear and if you can get on the back side of it there are some nice holes and areas to fish. You can get some good areas to cast which is nice. Knuppenburg is the ticket in my opinon and I agree with trout-killa on that one; big browns for a really small "lake". Leech lake has fish but...

Bank Fishing the Cowlitz
I am going up to my cabin in Packwood tomorrow and I was thinking about waking up and driving down to Blue Creek to fish. The last time I was on the Cowlitz however was when I was about 14 and I am 37 now...So it has been a while...I was also with a guide...This time I will be solo and I will be fis...

Re: Shore fishing Tacoma area for silvers?
Yeah you can walk down to the claybanks from Owen Beach and that can sometimes produce. Living at Titlow, I would get some light tackle and walk down to the park by TOA. There are a bunch of rocks and lots of structure around that area for resident silvers and cutthroat (got to release all those but...

Re: Natives Crabbing in Commencement Bay
MIZM05!!! You regulation-reading you!!! You are so right - the 3rd. If they keep all those pots in the water until the 3rd, there will not be one crab left in the bay.

Natives Crabbing in Commencement Bay
Does anyone know how long the natives get to crab out in Commencement Bay before the state opener on July 1st? You can walk from buoy to buoy out there right now and I have never, ever seen so many pots. [confused] Tom Pollack reported from Sportco that he has never seen so many as well...I heard th...

Perch in Pierce County Lakes
Hello out there! I am going to take my kayak out to Lake Kapowsin on Saturday or Sunday morning and I was thinking about trageting perch. I have never fished for them before but have read up on a few items such as bait, depth, etc. Has anyone fished some of the local south Pierce County lakes, espec...

Hood Canal Chums...I need some help!
I was thinking about taking my kayak over to Silverdale or somewhere where there is a decent launch and trying my luck for Chum salmon. I just got a new smoker and would like to try some fresh Chum on it and maybe keep some eggs for some steelies. I have never tried for Chum but have read up that pu...

Re: Charter boat hits Astoria bridge
That was pretty stupid but I feel bad for that guy. His dumb move is now all over the World Wide Web for every fisherman to see...I'd be trying to take that video down. Pretty funny when it went under the bridge though...What a zoo. Some HUGE fish down there though...

Reminds me of the scene in Caddyshack when Spaulding swims right up to the Baby Ruth "turd" floating in the pool...Classic.

Buzz Bomb/Hoochie combo
So with the Pink season coming on strong, I was going to try something new. I have heard people talk about casting with a Buzz Bomb and a hoochie on top...I have a couple of pink B.B's and some pink hoochies...Has anyone tried this before and if so, any luck? I also have a green/white B.B. and some ...

Re: Fishing Under the Tacoma Narrows Bridge
Not really a cliff...Just some steep bushwhacking to get down to the tracks and the shore. There is plenty of room to fish away from the train tracks...The rocks from the shore go right down to deep, deep water. I know the current will be strong so I just wondered if someone had tried. I am going to...
