Re: Ugliest Pink Jig...that may actually work
Looks great to me. Presentation is far more important than the "perfect jig" anyway. Try some other colors.

Re: Squidin' 2014
Correct me if I'm wrong but I've always heard that squid themselves have no flavor and taste like whatever they're cooked in? Very wrong! Lots of flavor. Depends a lot of course on how fresh they are. If they're old, been soaked in salt water for hours, frozen, thawed, frozen again, thawed again, n...

You might want to read the first page of this thread. The Cascade isn't worth the trouble.

Re: Who returned my wallet?
This guy showed a lot of class returning that wallet. It might be nice to cut him a little slack and refrain from the insults. there must of been post deleted that had insults as all I see a few observations, no insults...... So it wouldn't bother you a bit to come here after doing a good deed and ...

You obviously know nothing.fishing magician wrote: Bigskyx I want to kill it also because if you shoot a cougar you save 50 elk. Ever think of that? Must not have. I know about cougars and how dangerous they are i just don't know how to hunt one EFFECTIVELY.

Re: How to get a Cougar?
A cougar within 2 miles of your house and you're going to kill it. Really? If you only knew how common that was. Males home range 50-150 miles. Where there are deer & elk there's always the possibility. Call WDFW. I don't know Wa regs but without a good hound and someone who knows what they're doing...

Re: Late Run Steelhead
a good whip finish eliminates the need for cement. i never cement a jig and never do they come apart. you can google it. if possible learn to do it without a tool. faster, better, tighter. Yup. I do sometimes use a dab of superglue if I have it. You can also lightly coat the thread for the last few...

Re: Winter Steelhead 2013/2014
"creole numbers." :) As for "it's a big fast river"... The main stem is comparable to the Vedder, the Skagit is much bigger and faster. I've fished the main stem top to bottom. North fork, South fork, mouth of the Middle fork. I obviously can't cover as much ground in a day as a boat but I put some ...

Re: Winter Steelhead 2013/2014
NW Outdoors radio this morning made a big deal about the Nooksack river in Whatcom having made a great come back for steelhead. Unfortunately most of it is closed as of 1-31. There is one section of the north fork still open. Might have to check it out next year. Seriously? Looks like somebody is t...

Re: Leaking roof
Leaks usually occur first at valleys and protrusions- chimneys, vent pipes etc. High winds can push water under shingles and into places that it normally wouldn't flow. It may not be a problem without the high wind. Looks like you got a good rec. Good luck!
