Re: Why Coho is Not Biting?
Ive brought 70-80 coho to hand so far this season. 2 things to consider: Coho in their traveling lanes are very fickle and less likely to strike lures UNLESS those lures interupt the path they are taking. As others have mentioned in this thread years ago, getting down into the bulk of the fish is of...

Number 1 choice by far- clouser. Blue, or purple over white. Number 2 choice, wooley bugger/egg sucking leech purple/pink colour pattern Number 3 choice is a crystal bugger, chartreuse Mini jigs, christmas trees, copper leeches, hobo spey, squiddro, and even nymphed egg patterns work too although no...

Not bad! You'll get used to how much materials to use with experience. I sucked pretty bad when i first started tying. You're doing pretty good for only 3 months in.

Re: Pulled this out of a Sammamish cutt -- any idea what it is?
The tiny green stuff looks like daphnia, the big thing looks like an artificial bait. I have my doubts about that being a leech or otherwise natural item. Its not decomposed looking enough imo. Not only that but ingested leeches quickly turn to black mush once its fully in the trouts stomach, ive ta...

Re: Bryant Lake
Bryant is a tiny 6 acre pond, it has a crappy mud trail that leads to it off the highway you could carry an inflatable through. Ive fished it a few times. Its ok. There are many better places to go with easier access that can handle having an entire thread dedicated to it that the entire internet ca...

Re: Stump Lake Access
I could care less about ensuring that i catch fish if i spend money. I dont correlate money spent to being worth going or not. If i can afford to go and want to try or learn something. I go and don't think twice about it. But i am a steelheader and a fly masochist. Ive spent as much as $400 on a diy...

Re: Stump Lake Access
$20/day is nothing. I spend $100+/- to fish the salt when i go out. Ice fishing trips run me about $80- $+120 a trip and these are just gas costs mostly..my average fishing trip cost me $50 per trip not including gear. Just terminal daily expenses like gas and food. if you can get $20 a trip for goo...

Thats a good point wlai. The forum link location wasn't obvious on my first visit to the site when it changed. I could see how a new member could have trouble locating it.

Re: Paintball guns for furbags?
Well, according to your initial post, you are losing just a fraction over one fish per year. Sorry you've lost those slabs of meat, but in the grand scheme of things there are better places to put your time and energy - such as bringing awareness to pollution, global warming, poaching, mismanagemen...

Re: Hello, where is everyone?
If readers could rest assured knowing non contributing lurkers can't access information people (like myself) would be way more likely to share. So a private group, a seperate registration and entry with requirements such as X number of posts or reports required to join. Dont get rid of the public fo...

Re: Hello, where is everyone?
I think it could be a few reasons. Facebook groups for sure are a factor. I believe the reason for this is the like button. People like to see their picture or report liked and not everyone is going to comment "nice fish bro" or whatever comment can be added. Thats a big part of it i think. Nor can ...

I'm surprised people oblige such a demand. Didn't even say please in your origional post.... Footwork+homework= good fishing spots. I will not be giving location handouts. What locations people already generously gave should be appreciated I hope. I found this post to be rude and makes you seem very...

According to the googles the odd striper does make it into the columbia, there isn't an established run of them, just the odd one that shows up in the kill nets.

Re: Wear a life jacket or don't go
We lost whorde (Nick) a few years back while he was at a complete stop or at most trolling speed. Fell out of his raft and drowned. It can happen to anyone. Pdf's should be worn at all times on boats. Especially when water temps are below 50°F. I have friends that where them while wading rivers. I p...
