Re: Where are the Crappie as the lakes cool?

Going to try Rosieger tomorrow for the first time.
I will see if I can locate some suspended fish.
Had good luck with Trout Magnets over in Eastern Wa. Will give them a shot tipped with nibbles or mealworms.

Where are the Crappie as the lakes cool?

Do the Crappie in Western Wa move out to deeper water as the lake temp drops? How about the Bluegills?
I have just started fishing panfish so this is my first fall. [confused]

Flashers, lures, rod and reel #1

I am done Salmon fishing and don't need my tackle or rod and reel anymore. Age is starting to catch up and if I need to fish salmon I can still charter so I don't have to maintain a boat. Anyway, I have a tackle box with both fresh and saltwater gear in it. Mostly salt. The rod was for primarily the...

Fish Finder with down imaging feature

Just bought a Sea Eagle pontoon boat and want to mount a sonar/ GPS unit on it. Anyone have any experience with the Garmin Stryker 4dv. I'm still looking so any suggestions for a new purchase would be appreciated. The new down imaging looks good. But still need the color screen to identify fish. I w...

Re: Brain Dead

Thanks for the response guys.
Actually I have met the Gal that does the enforcing. She was very polite and nice to talk to at this lake.
I will get the car info and the next time I see her I will pass along my concerns.
She swings thru the launch at 0700 every morning like clockwork :nemo:

Brain Dead

Wasn't quite sure how to handle this situation today!! I was fishing at my secret lake this morning all by myself. Lake was like glass, very peaceful and quiet waiting for a bow to take my bait. A car comes down the road to the ramp and a gentleman steps out (65-66). Not old as I turn 61 in a few da...

Rufus Woods Triploid Charter Boat

I've wanted to fish Rufus for triploids in warm weather for a few years. I called around today and can't find a guide until mid July. By then it will be to hot to be in a boat for 8 hours on the water. Yes I'm a pussy!!! But it is my money after all. Tried Big Wally's and Darrelanddad. Anyone have a...

Re: Maggots

I think you need to attract Horse flies. Those things don't look like they would fit on a hook.

Re: Maggots

Thanks Guys,
I really don't want to be a Maggot Farmer.
I will just stick to my Gulp eggs.
They got me my limit today in 2 hours for some nice Bows on my now "Secret Lake"
Saw some nice Bows caught on worms under a bobber.
Got to witness a little 5 year old boy catch his first trout ever. AWESOME!!!!

Re: Maggots

Nope.
They sell Mealy worms.
Freddy's use to have them all the time.
Guess not many people like to handle Maggots.
A couple on a hook with a Gulp egg will slaughter trout!!
