Mag 20 DTs here..We fish down to 300 ft with 12lb balls so hand crankers are a bit tough..allthough i know folks that do

My son works there. So we went before it opened on the employee family day..real nice store. now i can put the touch on things i might want to bye..instead of ordering online. not ate there yet but i hear it better priced than some of the local restraunts

I can set my voltage p i c through my downriggers or fish finder...and after messing with it all summer..from high to low..i can truthfully say i saw no difference at all..if it didn't came with the system.... i don't think i would have bought it.... don't see any advantage or disadvantage.

Those are nice riggers you have . I upgraded this year to a pair of mag 20 DTs..they are interlinked with my huminbird fish finder through a cannonlink downrigger controller..just new on the market this spring..took most of the summer to work out the bugs or i should say learn to opperate the system...

My wife and i allways get the 2-pole permit.It opens more options... On lake pend Oreille you can fish 4 poles on a 2-pole permit....We run 4-poles on the downriggers and 4- poles on the side planners. that way we have 8 diff. lures and or baits covering a 300 ft. pass.from side to side.. I have a set of downriggers that opperate through my huminbird fishfinder..they will track the bottom or cycle at pre set depths. or you can just send them down or park them up..All through the fish finder..By far the best investment i ever made

I would have to say a Kamloops .. Most of the time a 10 lb or larger kam will take 500 or 600 Feet of line straight down before the even think of stopping.

I don't catch and release when i'm fishing ( unless its closed to harvest ) Just like i don't shoot then try cpr when i hunt..Its all in the freezer for us.
