These guys were in a slow moving section with a muddy bottom. After they got home they were put in an tank with good air and their color changed to the reddish brown. So I'd say they lived in an oxygen starved area. They were pretty dirty as well, again cleared up at home quite easily. The taste was...

I have found that the dads I catch seem to vary from one individual to another slightly. After I get them home clean then up and get them into well oxygenated water their color changes slightly again, some more than others. But here is a picture of one off the bigger ones underside I caught.

I caught him bottom fishing for perch by mistake. Jigging a Simple worm with a small weight just outside the weed beds. My dad has caught several by accident this way while perch fishing on Lake Washington. Certainly a pretty fish.

Here's a new one I caught this week on Lake Washington. I am almost certain it is a Tench. This one was several lbs although I didn't weigh it. It had red eyes and a downward facing mouth. The fins were round, the skin was a dark green, and the scales were small.

Hi Guys, I am new to the forum but found this thread while searching for new info on crawdading. Very cool and informative. You can add Cranberry Creek in Mason County to the list and I have some tips that I have figured out while setting pots. 1.) Fresh bait works the best.Crab may like gnarly bait...
