RE:secret fishing lake/ponds????
"Talked at that time with Hookemdanno who started the thread. She never put into Halls lake." What ever happened to her? I got to fish with her once at Trout Lk. Man, she can fish! Haven't seen much from her since. Hellooooooooo....Suzanne? I thought my ears were burning! Hey, Gerry and Chris :chee...

That is so cool! They are beautiful little fish. I've always wanted to catch some, but when I try I never have any luck. I have only ever caught them inadvertently when bass fishing.

RE:Live bait question
You are correct! You can fish with say a crawdad from the same waters you caught it from but can not use it in a nearby lake or stream. one reason is to help keep advasive species such as the "red crayfish" that is currently taking over several of our lakes buy being more agressive than the the nat...

Give it a bamboo shampoo... and then it's not live bait,, but seriously FRESH bait. Huh? Actually Chris, when I typed that post I was thinking about that crawdad you brought up in that log that almost made you jump out of your tube and into the water. It was like when Richard Dreyfuss's c...

Live bait question
Besides live worms, what live baits are allowed in Washington freshwater lakes? You can't use live fish (especially and including gamefish) of any kind for bait, correct? I was trying to find something in the Regs, and could only find this under Statewide Freshwater Rules on page 30: It is unlawful ...

Pretty darn cool to catch your biggest on tape. Talk about lucky, ugly chatter bait on a spinning rod no less. Wonder what lb line he was using, that hit the bank fast. One thing I'd like to say is I am willing to bet that fish was out of the water for a little too long. Carry a weigh bag and keep ...

Have never used these before, and I'm going to try for the first time. I have a Lucky Craft Pointer 78SP and a Rapala X-Rap XR-8. What type of knot should I use, a palomar knot or a loop type knot (like a rapala knot)? I recently read about the San Diego jam knot as well for fluoro. Also, how much w...

Any body use ClearWire? I was going to go with clearwire about a year ago because of the cost. I ordered it, then started checking online about it and started reading some feedback. So I stumble across this "clearwire sucks" type of web site. There were some absolute horror stories on there (I know...

RE:Just bought braid for the first time.... What are your thoughts?
Can you explain the reason for using braid and then using the fluoro? I understand the fluoro for the "no visibility" factor, but I don't understand the reason for the braid if you're using fluoro. If a fish wraps you or something, won't the fluoro just break or shred anyway? I haven't used braid y...

RE:Just bought braid for the first time.... What are your thoughts?
Up until the past couple of months I have only used the heaver braid (#30 & #60) for flipping & pitching to bass. I spooled up some of the lower test braid (12~14 lb) on my spinning setup. I have noticed greater distance on casting and no line twist problems. The type of lure has been the determini...

I have Qwest DSL too. I am not that worried about speed. Mostly I surf or shop or watch some Netfix, and it seems like it's pretty adequate. I don't know if hi-speed would make it much faster for those things.
What do you guys pay for the hi-speed broadband stuff? Is it cheaper if you bundle?

RE:Feds preparing to shut down recreational fishing...
It seems to me that it is not the recreational fisherman, or netting Indians or commercial fishermen who are to blame, it is all of us. We are the ones who put the demand on our environment. We are the ones who demand dams for cheaper energy. We are the ones who want navigable waterways and roadway...

it's even better. In the search field, type in your species, for example, "bass", then click the "search" button. It will then only list reports with "bass" in them. We know this was something the anglers wanted - see, we DO listen. :salut: Mike, I absolutely love this addition to the site...Before...
