Re: Skokomish River Coho
I stopped by the Purdy Creek Hatchery (George Adams?) They had about 20 coho in the pool, little tiny things, I doubt they were over 3lbs. Just like most the other coho this year.

Re: Emergency river closers
I'm not crazy about the WFC's position on most any subject, but they are only pointing out the obvious in this case. I've opted not to pursue resident trout in my local streams and rivers this summer due to the low water levels and higher temps. The fish are stressed enough and I'll gladly sit this...

Re: Moving to Seattle Area....Boat recommendations
I'd buy an aluminum boat next time. I like the 15' runabout that I have. High gunnels and stable but there's a lot of launches around here with no docks. Would be much nicer to ease an aluminum boat up onto a gravel shore than my fiberglass lol

Would have to be a well padded dock so it doesn't bang up your bow

I'm sure if they launched out of Solo Point the closest launch available to me would be Zittel's or Steilacoom (which isn't anything more than access to the gravel beach lol)

Re: Squaxin Island?
Wife's friend went out of Solo Point this weekend and got a bunch of huge Dungies and Red Rock's. I'm assuming they went across to Anderson Island? Have to a DoD sticker to use Solo Point though. Range Pass doesn't cut it. :(

Re: Squaxin Island?
We've eaten the Red Rock and the Dungeness side by side and prefer the sweeter Red Rock crab.
We went out of Zittel's last Saturday. 4 hours we got 8 large Red Rock's. TONS of undersize Dungie's.

Squaxin Island?
Have a family get together coming up near Acadia and it's just a few blocks from the Squaxin Island boat ramp on the East end of Hammersly Inlet. Is the crabbing any good in that area? Like around Hope Island?

Re: Terrova trolling motor
It could be that the batteries are getting old. I'm not sure how much the boat weighs. Here's a pic of it, I'd imagine it's lighter than a 20ft ProV. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=908677532490924&l=0d3f2a8387" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; it's marine grade wire that I boug...

Thanks for the tips. I never have checked my voltage drop.
I can get about 1.2mph on setting 4. Going to have to put a kicker on before the coho get here LOL

Its my understanding that they are only compatible with Humminbird units - and only some of those. You might be better asking here: http://forums.sideimagingsoft.com/index.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; There are some reps from Humminbird that are very tech savy that hang out th...

It's a new season!!
Anyone having any luck yet?
I was wanting to go out this weekend but it looks like we'll be going fishing at Silver Lake near Eatonville. It's on the list of lakes with crawfish but I've never heard of any in this lake.
Do they exist?

WOW!!! I was entering that every day for a while and then forgot to do it somewhere along the line. Nice to see someone actually won it and it truly is everything they make.
We'd better start seeing a ton of videos from you! LOL

Re: RULES PROPOSED FOR THE 2015 - 2016 fishery
They need to take some of these meat fisheries and acknowledge that that's what they are. Fishing the Puyallup and foul hooked a pink? Fine goes against your daily limit but go ahead and keep it. Hurry up and get your limit and go home. might just as well. Pink Poaching goes on a lot on the Sky sys...
