Any advice on fishing for Channel Cats?
I've never really fished for Channel Catfish. We are going to be staying on Lake Cocolalla in AUG and one of the only 2 reports posted here says they have them. Any other advice about this lake would be great too. The NW Fishing Reports community never lets met down so I'm counting on you guys!

Re: Clueless at Penn Cove
Bought my license, follow the good advice here and the law. Got a bunch of clams and made some very mediocre chowder but the kids and I had had a lot of fun digging for them!
Thanks as always WA Lakes brethren.

Re: Clueless at Penn Cove
I'm not familiar with penn cove, but you can download the regs from the wdfw website or pick them up free at most any hardware store or tackle shop. Id recommend doing one or the other rather than rely on someones say-so on the web. The fines are no fun if you get caught breaking the rules. I did e...

Clueless at Penn Cove
I apologize in advance for my ignorance. But taking a last minute trip with the family to a place up on Penn Cove. I'm wondering if anyone could tell me if anything is in season (including fish actually) and provide some quick tips on hot to catch whatever is available.

I was told by the Les Schwab guy that the trailer bearings typically come in 2 or 3 standard sizes.

RE:Fishing & hunting license price increases
It will be about $30.00 and as far as I can see, when buying a license you still get the WDFW parking permit free. We really shouldn't complain too much, at least for the general fishing license. Compared to the surrounding states, we are paying less, far less than California, which is $43.46 Howev...

RE:Bearings 101?
Bring it over here. Make sure you have extra set or 2 of bearings, and seals, and the grease cup as they can fall off once in awhile. Make sure you jack up the trailer side/tire with the jack under the spring plate as the beam will bend if you jack it up in the middle of the axle beam. How do I kno...

Bearings 101?
I need advice from my salty brethren who never fail me!:thumleft: I am about to take my little trailer on it's first long roadtrip to Eastern Washington. I have no reason to anticipate problems, but that is when they usually happen. The trailer has "bearing buddies" and was pretty well taken care of...

RE:aluminum boat help!
Home Depot didn't have the Marine version of JB Weld so I went with the LocTite 2 part epoxy marine version. Just slapped it on there and it's drying now. I will let you know how it works.

RE:aluminum boat help!
I worked in a boat shop and the way would check for leaks was to fill it with a garden hose like some of the others mentioned. Most likely you will find a leaky rivet or rivets. Since its an older boat, you will not get manufacturer support, so I'd cover the leakers with JB Weld. I'm going to try t...

RE:aluminum boat help!
I would fill the boat with enough water with a garden hose, bucket or whatever and detect the general area that the leak is coming from. Then empty the boat of water and dry the leaky area and use clear RTV silicone to seal the area. This worked great on my boat and I sealed it with the same every ...

Need reputable Repair shop or mechanic for older Ford F150
Does any work on older Ford pickups or can anyone recommend a good shop? My 1992 Ford F150 has the check engine light on, the transmission is slamming into gear and the rear fuel tank is non-operational. Not looking to put her back in mint condition, just want to keep her on the road if possible wit...

Any new updates in this area since the original thread? It looks like I am about to have to deal with this endeavor myself. I am trying to decide if I should just get a pump or go through the pain of fixing it.
