me (on the left) and a friend showing off our massive keepers from a secret trout lake (pic from a couple years ago). my largest went in at 7lbs and smallest at 4.5lbs and they were both caught on a brown trout sinking rapala in the smallest size available. http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m10/pro...

RE:OUCH! Fishhook to the Eye Video - not for the squimish!
i actually have two funny fish hook stories. 1) i was fishing for trout at lacamas lake and was casting straight out in front of me and reeling it back in, well i must have hit a branch in the water because i felt a tug on the line and instinctivly lifted the rod tip up hard and was surprised by the...

i used to hunt grouse on my dads property with my small childs recurve bow with target tip arrows.
that was fun until dad got sick of putting the birds out of their mercy.

RE:Salmon,Steelhead help?
the best all around set-up for salmon and steelhead in my opinion would just be a medium-heavy 7-9ft rod, either a medium duty spinning reel or a abu garcia ambasseduer with 12-15lb test and a number 4 or 5 bluefox vibrax spinner! cast the spinner at about 11 O'clock and reel in as it sweeps through...

RE:Tiger musky fertility..
so if the theory that a very small percentage of female tiger musky's can theoretically reproduce, i wonder what the mix of half tiger musky and half pike or pure musky would turn out like? my guess would be that the offspring would more resemble that of the male pike or musky that fathered it. mayb...

usually jig and bobber set-ups are the way to go with all crappie. my favorite jigs are leland lures "trout magnet" or the larger version the "crappie magnet" both work exellent.
