Re: Lake Crescent vs Lake Sutherland
Agreed on the wind at Crescent. It can be brutal, but the lake is so beautiful. I don't know how, but I managed to catch a trout from the shore a few years ago. I thought I had my beardsly trout, then I looked at it was a cuttthroat. No complaining, though. It was a tough catch and I earned it, lol....

Re: Gem Lake Information?
Thanks! Yes, that is the lake. The information I've found on it was geared more toward hiking than fishing. Fishing an "Alpine" has always been on the back burner and upon stumbling upon Gem Lake kind of rekindled that. I have a 9'6" light action spinning rod that is spoiling to battle a trout or tw...

Gem Lake Information?
Hello, everyone! Through some internet surfing, I came across a lake called Gem Lake. It is supposedly in the Snoqualmie area. I might have been doing something wrong in my initial search here, but I could not find any information about it, like species this lake might have and any fishing restricti...

Nice pics, everyone! Makes me want to start bass fishing again. Haven't targeted bass in a very long time, but yikes, I need to get legal first, lol. Probably get my license this weekend.

Thanks, Blake! I have also wondered about this pond. No my son and I have something to do the next time my wife goes to target, lol.
So catfish and sunfish. Any other species?
Thanks.

Re: Lake Meridian Bass Fishing
I've seen them in the weeds close to one end of the dock structure where folks target trout. Almost nabbed one with a jig and trailer from the dock. If this is the south end of the lake, then that ought to be a good start.

Awesome clinic on jig fishing and review of that reel. It seems like a whole lot of bang for the buck. Is it saltwater worthy?

Re: Bass Fishing Videos
Still fishing but not as much. I'll have to change that by fishing with you soon, lol. My son got the fishing bug really bad last summer and we made a killing on perch, crappie and blue gill with 60 between us.
BTW, you still targetting the browns at Green Lake?

Elijah, what's up man? It's been a long time since I've been here let alone make a post. I am glad to see you're still fishing and kicking phanny while doing it. Well done on all of the videos.

Re: 12 year old first time fisherman
Welcome! If you live anywhere near Gene Coulon Park. Fish next to the ivars. The perch are there now. The recommendation of worms and small hooks is perfect. I took a few seniors there not too long ago and they did fine. I just haven't had a chance to post a report on it. Good luck!

That is an awesome bass. So what are the prospects of these lakes from the shore. Yup, poor ib ain't got a boat or other floating device other than his gut, lol.

I got a similar warning though none like any listed. This was with FFox. The message is prompted when I try to log in from home. I remoted into my work pc and also using FFox, but there is no message. I seem to be permanently logged in on my work pC.

Re: a good drop shot trick
It's not a new trick, but a good one. However because I fish rip rap 99% of the time I drop shot, I can lose 3-5 weights in a 15-minute time span. That would be too costly. :-({|= I don't even use "drop shot" weights anymore. That too is costly. I now use pencil lead because it's far more economical.

Re: How do you store your Power Bait Dough and Eggs...
Thanks for the suggestions. I will continue to use the zip locks and maybe get a smaller bag dedicated to p bait and eggs. Come to think of it, perhaps the zips are working but my backpack already smells bad, lol.
TroutSniper, do you have the Plano Model # for that box?

How do you store your Power Bait Dough and Eggs...
Within your tackle bags? At the start of targetting trout this season, I just stored them in my backpack but the dad-gum smell is getting to me and I really dislike the darn stink they have permeating through the entire backpack. It got bad enough that the stink transferred to my jacket just by havi...

Re: Looking for Tips for "Puttin' on the Dough"
Thanks for the replies, guys! I really appreciate it. I have considered using a treble for the same reasons given, but I had little concern about whether or not executing a hook set might be a potential problem and this could be a needless worry too. Power eggs have been very convenient and easy to ...

Looking for Tips for "Puttin' on the Dough"
Alright, so this bass angler, yours truly has been really pursuing this power bait/egg type of fishing and surprisingly I have found it to be just as much a blast as bass fishing, albeit in a different way. I just want to know if I am missing something when it comes to putting on the power bait doug...

Re: Internal Combustion Engines in King County?
I saw a a boat with a motor while at steel lake the other day and wondered the same thing. I was told be another angler that the boat was there looking for possible growth of milfoil. They were putting around and not a fishing rod in the boat.
