Trophy ScumFrog in white. White helps me see the lure better and resembles the belly of a frog when viewed from below.

After a quick (and i mean quick) search, it sounds like Sharp-tail are possible around. Not sure what a Blue is....can't find it anywhere. Is that another name for Sage grouse maybe.....sounds like they are around. The only grouse i have ever seen in the wild are Ruffed. Curious to see others..... ...

RE:Fishing for bass in hot hot weather?
I'm heading out to Chapman for bass late Sat. afternoon to fish into the evening. There will be a full moon and the night temps should be in the high 70's. Will the full moon help when using poppers along the shores and stumped areas? Work the poppers in a steady cadence as that will draw the bass ...

It's all fun and games until someone gets an eye poked out. And sometimes the kid with the poking stick doesn't apologize. It happens. We all want to have good discussions and have our questions answered, but with over 3400 members with varied backgrounds, things can get a little "rude." It's part o...

RE:WDFW Warmwater Management
My problem with Oregon and Washington fish agencies is not about stocking or not stocking bass, but is more about wiping out good bass fisheries with rotenone only to stock the lake again in the spring with genetically disabled hatchery trout that have no chance of surviving the month of July. The l...

I would have done the same thing. Train your whole life for one moment only to have it robbed by crooked officiating. I'd toss that stinking bronze, too!RaMcVey wrote:Im voting for when the dude got cranky and threw his bronze on the floor.

Locally it averages 12-14/inch. In more southern areas (like Florida or Texas) it's around $10/inch. I favor fiberglass repros for the ability to retain a quality appearance for a lifetime. Also they are easier to keep clean and maintained. Just take lots of pictures and record lots of measurements ...

I love bass fishing. In a region where my favorite gamefish is looked down upon in complete disdain by state agencies who until the late '70's did not even recognize bass as a gamefish, I want people to get excited about catching bass. I gladly tell other anglers how to fish, my favorite lures, tech...

When I was 11 or 12, my uncle and I were quail hunting in Iowa. The dog held a tight point and my uncle went in and kicked out the covey. I drew a bead on one bird and pulled the trigger on the single shot 20ga. In that instant another bird crossed paths no more than 12 inches from the muzzle. It wa...

I use a Trophy ScumFrog made by Southern Lure Co. It's a frog-shaped hollow plastic lure with a double hook facing upward and protected from snags by the body of the lure. It has a rubber skirt that simulates legs.

I usually hunt grouse near the Nestucca River drainage in the Tillamook forest. I have a couple decent spots up the Clackamas River in the Mt Hood forest that are closer for an after-work hunt until daylight savings time ends.
I shoot a Remington 870 12ga.
