Re: Best king county lakes for pan fish or bass?
I lived in the Enumclaw area for a few years, never fished bass much though. I know Deep lake has some, as well as wilderness. I would see people catch these when I was trout fishing.

Re: It's been a while
Mike, I will gladly send reports, mostly from the U.P. of Michigan. @Mark: Glad you're still hangin' around the site. I'm not one to take too many pictures, but I think I have some floating around of my big splake (23") and a nice little chinook jack I caught through the ice. I'll see if I can dig t...

It's been a while
I just wanted to drop by and say hello to all my WL friends. It's been a while since I've stopped by. I ended up moving out of WA at the end of 2012 (and unfortunately ended up in the Chicago area). During the summer and fall I've been working in the Upper Peninsula of MI. In the Chicago area my fis...

Re: What hunting rifle???
30-06! Jack of all trades, master of none. It's a great all-a-round gun if you want just one. I use a .270, but I feel like it's too small for elk (although I have killed them with it). My dad has killed almost every big game animal in N.A. (including bison) with his 30-06, but we mostly hunt whitet...

Re: How do you report a new possable state record fish?
I've done the same thing in other states with "trash fish." It's good size but not worth keeping (my thought has always been, it'll make a kid happy if he catches this). It's still out there, and don't forget the world record's have line class (I figure an 8" perch on 100lb test might get my name in...

A Friendly Reminder
It's the 4th of July! Independence Day! And everyone loves to get out and celebrate. Who can blame them? I know I really enjoy a good 4th of July BBQ. With that said, I'd just like to take a minute to remind everyone to be careful out there today. I'm not asking you to not have a bon-fire or not lig...

Re: Best Spots?
There is lots of good trout fishing "close" to bonney lake, depending on how you define close? There's Bradley lake in Puyallup, but it can get very crowded and the atmosphere isn't that great. Lake Kapowsin and Ohop aren't that far, and I know a few lakes in the Enumclaw area that are pretty good. ...

Re: Good Sturgeon Charter?
My dad and I had a great time! We fished on the Pacific Dream with Captain Ed and Deck Hand William. We were lucky as there were only 3 other people on the 50+' boat so plenty of room. The fishing started a bit slow, but we ended up boating 5 fish, 2 of them keepers (mine the biggest at 46"), losing...

Re: Drowning Doesn't Look Like Drowning... article
I reflect one time when I almost drowned. In a pool, just a few yards from my parents. Thought I was good enough to cross the pool. Never got the chance to make a ruckas, just sank. Thank god dad saw and saved me. I'm with you on this Rich. Reading the article brought me back to a time when I was a...

I could send you to some decent trout lakes, that's about it. I know there are a lot of bass around, I just don't fish them. Send me a message if you ever decide to go out that way and I'll give you some tips.

Are you shore fishing or do you have a boat? It's a bit of a drive, but I know a few lakes in the Enumclaw area I could mention if you're interested

Re: WaLakes on Ron and Don!
I just listened to all 7.5 minutes of it and it's ridiculous. He not only blamed WaLakes once... but TWICE!!! Unacceptable! I did enjoy the part where the Sgt. told them that the lake has been selective gear rules since there was dirt, and where he told them there was a sign as big as his head stati...

I might have a cheapo fly real laying around that came on a 5-6 wt combo I bought. I don't use it, not even sure of the brand but I think it's a shakespeare. If you're interested it's yours free, just send me a pm.

Is this true? I assumed the prices would go down, or at least stay level. I haven't done much research on this, but I am glad I can get it at my local grocery now.Gonefishing wrote:I heard that... and for an added bonus you will pay up to 35% more for the same stuff you could buy when the state managed it.
Woo Hoo.
