Lake Sylvia in the town of Montesano 20 miles west of Olympia is a State park with swimming and playground equipment lots of spots to fish from the bank and off the bridge and down near the dam. My kids love it !! Bring a bag of instant light charcoal and what ever you want to grill and use the park...

potholes has better small boat hiding spots like lind coulee and will have alot less jet ski's and wake board/ski boats. But I have banks dialed in for smallmouth and walleye I know the when and where there. Fyi check the post on potholes for the huge catfish guy's have been catching
