Re: Green River (fishing updates and fish photos)
Jim are you twitching and going at first light? I've scratched out 3 coho since finally getting out not long ago (all mid day purplish jig twitchers) but the fish aren't as thick as I saw them earlier in September and have been a bit shy sometimes following but not following THROUGH. I'm with you on...

Re: Lower and Upper Green River Coho/Chum/Steelhead
Nice losaturn, you're still banging them chrohos out quietly! :) Was that a mid day, morning or other time of day fish? I'm probably gonna get out there finally Sunday or next week with the scheduled rain. Seen several jumpers the times I've dropped by to scout a little. I'm a jigger so mornings wou...

Re: Lower and Upper Green River Coho/Chum/Steelhead
Anybody been having any luck with no rain in the lower river? I haven't even picked up a license yet but with rain in the forecast next week and me being closer to the lower river (moved recently) I'm thinkin' of jumping (jigging) on it for coho now, chums in Nov.

Re: Good Times.
Ah ya goodtimes, the extension of the upper mandible goes beyond the eye socket. Little tricky from the pic angle, I can blame it on my old age. Thx for clarifying.

Re: Good Times.
Riverwarrior was it a hen or buck? The snout looks more hen than buck (edit, could be from the camera angle looking at it a bit closer) and it is blushing up a bit but maybe it got a nose job with the way things are these days. [biggrin] If I had to guess I'd go with hen based on the lack of the pro...

LOL it's good to see some humor come out of a real bad bummer of a situation for Nate (especially liked the Miller being untouched). Hoping something shows somewhere for you Nate [-o< , nothing worse than having stuff taken from right under your house's nose. Even with insurance these days making a ...

Re: Green river by BECU and 405?
mizm05- That's the water I too prefer for coho, would hope the early morning would provide some kind of bite especially if there aren't people around spooking them. They gotta drop the lockjaw at some point but unfortunately the Duw pre 'nets in the water' window looks to be shrinking (sigh). Good l...

Re: Green river by BECU and 405?
mizm05 let us know if they do start biting on jigs. Sounds like Gringo Pescador and Mike spent a ton of time on the water (by my working schedule standards ](*,) ) with very little to show using different methods (excepting drift fishing). Sounds like drift fishing is the way to go right now and/or ...

Re: Green river by BECU and 405?
Why not go anywhere along the area you mention? Tricky access in spots but also a few decent areas to gain access. The 112th st area has that big 'hole' especially on high tide to fish as another option potentially although a little closer to the salt (not much downstream from BECU). Good luck [bigg...

Hmm, ah now I see a thread... http://washingtonlakes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=13792" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; If you look in that thread you'll see both lotech and Marc Martyn in there (the 2 I mentioned). They'd probably both be really good east side/Spokane references co...

DOG- So we gonna hit $16.5 trillion or 13,000 hits on this thread first? =D> I just don't see a bright economic future for my 9 year old. $16+ trillion and the 'solution' is to either spend a bunch of money blowing the deficit higher to 'grow' our way out of it (trying that one right now) or else cu...

Re: Looking for streams and rivers to fly fish in E.W.
Rocky Ford can fish pretty well year round being a spring creek (I think?). Not real close to you but some good trout. Buddy that works at Wholesale Sports was over there approx 2 weeks ago nailing some big ones on waterboatmen. Scuds and chironomids can work during 'offseason' months too but he spe...

Whoa, a couple of slabs in one fish! By the way, they've upped the hatchery to native ratio pretty thick starting last week: http://www.mytpu.org/tacomapower/parks-rec/fish-wildlife/cowlitz-fish-report.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Looks like over 700 coho in the Tilton last wee...

Re: Salmon River O.P. "Secret Location!"
Mike- How about a 'small rivers secret spot' for reports? U could rouse people's curiosity over the systems since they'd be 'secret'. If U mentioned Nate or whomever put U on the fish or whatever it might make for better biz for him/them too (i.e. people could PM him to set a guided trip)? Just a th...

Re: Salmon River O.P. "Secret Location!"
LOL this one is funny. Of course the river holds salmon and your report wouldn't send the wave of people that descended on the Tahuya cuz luckily U got skunked. Had U caught a limit and included pics I hope you would think twice about reporting simply in that it is a small river system with few peop...

Ya Toni's DPS jigs have a good reputation on the pinks! (#1 looked good) . I might have to have my little one visit her website and pick a few for next year [biggrin] She loves tying them too with all the pink LOL. Toni- I had a hard time getting spots around the low railing areas because o...

Re: pinks next year
I hear you on this one, my daughter will be 10 next year. She did fine on pinks last year at 8 so think you will be able to get your niece into fish from shore or pier even if she has no/little experience =D> . Work a little on casting practice if you can where it isn't crowded if you will fish a ri...
