Re: Bottom fishing closes off the coast

Good discussion here. I only fish for surf perch in the fall/winter after they give birth. So this action killed the fishery for me. I have a call and e-mail into WDFW... hopefully something can be done to reclassify them. The 188-page report I believe the decision is based off of does not take surf...

Re: Ice Reports 2013-2014

I drove over 1-90 to get to Potholes last weekend. There were a few people out on it, but a lot of open water (about half). I personally wouldn't have gone out on it, and temps have been warmer since.

Re: Ice Reports 2013-2014

Fished Lind Coulee this weekend-- ice was GREAT! 8-11 inches in most places. But warmer weather is coming back. Saw a few people out of Moses Lake from I-90, but looked pretty thin.

Re: Ice Reports 2013-2014

I had planned to go to Bead Lake this weekend, but it's thawing (like everywhere else). I called Pend Oreille Valley Sportsman and they said some people were fishing in the bay last weekend, which still had 3-5 inches of ice-- but due to the unseasonal warmth would not set foot on whatever ice might...

First ever time I went ice fishing was on North Elton ponds-- December 2006 if memory serves... At any rate I caught a few pumpkinseeds around the shoreline, none of size though.

Really enjoyed the video-- very informative! I can't bring myself to pay the extra couple of bucks for the two pole endorsement, but it certainly WELL worth the price on Potholes!

Razor clamming openning day

Hiya! This was suppose to be something of a 101. I'm not the greatest instructor, nor did I get the perfect footage-- but the scenery is nice and that's something! :pirat:

Re: Frog Fishing for Bullfrogs Video

really cool vid!! I was fishing Swofford Pond at night (Lewis County) last month and noticed a ton of bull frogs. A guy could catch several just along the shoreline. And hey, on the westcoast they're invasive and outcompete our native frogs, so put 'em on all on crutches I say! Where's Doc Hopper wh...

Pumpkinseeds on Black Lake (Thurston)

Nothing to write home to Mom about, but they are pretty fish! Also a little footage from Sekiu in there. I shot and edited this on the 31st of July. Just barely kept my self-imposed video-a-month pledge!

Fun entertaining videos! I really like your boat setup. I've seen it before, but that angle really spoke to me. Nice underwater footage too! Even manky kids spashing around. Admittedly, I have no idea what manky means.
