This 341 acre lake is located about five miles north of Florence and about a mile east of Highway 101. Mercer Lake Road reaches the lake and continues on to the east edge where the only public boat ramp is. Most of the fishing pressure at Mercer revolves around planted rainbow and a few native cutthroat trout. There is also a good population of largemouth bass, yellow perch and bluegills along with a few brown bullheads and black crappies in the lake. The bluegills average small, but the other spiny ray species are capable of reaching good size, but the bass seem to be rather tough to catch in this lake.
