This 140 acre is located on the west side of Port Orford and contains largemouth bass, yellow perch and rainbow and a few cutthroat trout. Unlike Floras Lake,
Garrison receives lots of bassfishing pressure, but still has a strong bass population with lots of bass in the two to three pound class with some much larger. Some of the trout also reach more than two pounds in weight. Usually, the best bass fishing during the spring is along the east shore in the south half of the lake (north of the public boat ramp). Garrison Lake currently has a one bass limit. The bass population took quite a jolt in 2000 when saltwater entered the lake via the short outlet and killed off most of the bass. Such an occurence can easily happen again and may keep the lake from producing as as big, or as many bass as it would otherwise.
