This 260 acre lake is located about three miles southwest of Langlois. Floras Lake Road reaches the road from Highway 101. Floras contains largemouth bass and rainbow and cutthroat trout. Next to the ocean, Floras is very windy in the afternoons and receives very little fishing pressure. Has received salt water from the ocean during heavy storms in the past and that may inhibit the bass population, but the bass that are in Floras Lake seem to bite very well and be quite chunky when decent-sized. The easiest and usually best fishing is in the two long arms of the lake which occasionally are out of the wind. Extremely windy conditions can make this lake unsafe even for 14-foot boats.
