Royal Lake is located in Central Washington between Royal City to the west and Othello to the east. It covers 102 surface acres with 82 of those acres in Adams County and about 20 in Grant County. It is a long, narrow lake that extends in an east/west direction and is mostly quite shallow. It was formed in 1956 by irrigation seepage from Royal Slope.
Fish species include some rainbow trout, largemouth bass, perch, crappie and sunfish – and carp. Overview and photo by Bob Johansen
