Located about sixmiles north of Medford in the Denman Management Area, the fishery consists
of more than a dozen small ponds containing largemouth bass, brown bullheads, black crappie and bluegills. Whetstone Pond, at ten acres, is the largest and most popular pond. Has received occasional plants of rainbow trout in the past.
Although most of the fishing pressure takes place close to the ODFW office, there are about 20 ponds on the management area and most of them require some hiking. These more
overlooked ponds often offer the best fishing.
