This 100 acre lake used to be located on the south side of the Elkton-Sutherlin Highway (Highway 138) about two miles west of Sutherlin. It used to offer fishing for largemouth bass (mostly on the east side) and black crappie, yellow perch, bluegills and brown bullheads before it was drained by a developer. It has since, at least partially refilled and produces even larger bass and crappies than before. The problem is, if you can get permission to fish it, it will be from shore and it is almost impossible to cast out beyond the heavy weeds from shore. Hopefully, in the future, a fishing dock will be constructed or permission to launch small boats will be given. The pond is capable of providing lots of fishing pleasure under the right conditions.
